Korpikoski serves as a university lecturer and program coordinator in the SDSI master's program at the University of Lapland, Finland. In her doctoral thesis, she researched organizational transformation through service design. Her research interests encompass service design, change management, and organizational strategies. Alongside her academic role, Korpikoski is a hands-on service design expert. She has previously worked as an in-house service designer in a multinational manufacturing corporation. Furthermore, she has executed design projects as a consultant for SMEs.
