Second call for applications to SDSI

The new international Master’s degree in service design, Service Design Strategies and Innovations (SDSI) has concluded the first round of student intake with a list of international candidates from 3 continents.

The student selection process will be continued in July 2021, with each applicant having the opportunity to motivate their studies during face-to-face interviews by the faculty of SDSI.

The next opportunity to apply for studies in the SDSI programme will be offered during July 19 – August 6, 2021, for the  October 2021 intake. The application process is organised via the DreamApply platform at https://apply.sdsi.ma. In addition to the usual formalities, such as identification documents, proof of previous education and CV, all SDSI applicants will be requested to complete a service-related admissions’ assignment. This will be followed by individual interviews with each candidate, and the signing of student agreements with successful applicants.

SDSI is a new master’s degree offered jointly by the Art Academy of Latvia, University of Lapland, Estonian Academy of Arts and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, as well as industry partners – Kuldīga Municipality (Latvia) and Kuldīga Artists’ Residence. Graduates will be awarded with a Master’s double degree – Master of Design from the Art Academy of Latvia and Master of Art (Art and Design) from the University of Lapland. The study process includes study periods abroad to Kuldīga in Latvia and Rovaniemi in Finland. The study year 2021 / 2022 will be organised mostly on-line, with four on-site weeks (once in two months) during the first year of study. The study fee is 8000,00 EUR per year, and EU / EEA citizens and permanent inhabitants of the European Community are offered an opportunity of state guaranteed study loans and student loans by SWEDBANK LATVIA (more information - https://www.swedbank.lv/private/credit/loans/study).
